Quality Lab Technician

Location :   Fort Wayne, IN

Pay : $24 - $28 per hour | based on experience

Schedule :  1st shift

Peoplelink Staffing is hiring for a facility specializing in the manufacture of air & fluid transfer, acoustics, emissions.  This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and quality are at the core of production.

General Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quality Lab Technician to perform dimensional inspections on production parts using advanced measurement techniques such as CMM and Faro Arm. This role ensures compliance with customer and industry standards while overseeing the Gage Calibration system and supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System .

Essential Job Functions

Conduct dimensional inspections on current and new program launch products (PPAP) using advanced measurement equipment (CMM, Faro Arm, Optical Comparator, Height Gage, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.).

Perform Gage Calibration , including Gage R&R , and maintain the system using GAGE track software .

Provide quality support for process capability studies, dimensional inspections, and validation testing .

Assist in preparing PPAP documentation , including Process Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow diagrams .

Support quality audits by filling in for receiving and production auditor vacancies.

Conduct failure analysis of non-conforming material, both internal and external.

Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements.

Perform additional duties as needed.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

High school diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in a quality lab environment, preferably in automotive applications.

• Strong knowledge of advanced test and measurement devices , with CMM and PCDMIS software experience preferred.
• being able to program and operate CMM is a MUST, also knowledge of using a Faro Arm is a MUST.

Complete understanding of calibration procedures and measurement techniques.

Ability to interpret blueprints and understand GD&T principles .

Proficiency in computer operations , including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email, Teams , etc.

Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills .

Familiarity with Quality Management System requirements.
