Arizona Nursing Job Details Location : Tucson, Arizona 85712 Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit (16 beds, average daily census 14) Contract Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : December 1, 2025 Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend (4 shifts / month) Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Float : Required based on census Orientation : 36 hours (TMC orientation held twice monthly) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2130-$2190 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Arizona RN license (or compact state license for travel nurses) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (completed within last 2 years) Proficiency with Epic charting system Ability to float to other hospital units as needed One supervisory reference required Travel nurses must reside outside a 75-mile radius of Tucson Previous Tucson Medical Center employees require rehire status approval Applicants with only one DUI (older than one year) may be considered Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit Assist with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and antepartum / postpartum complications Perform and interpret fetal monitoring (EFM, IUPC, spiral electrode placement) Administer medications and therapies (Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, etc.) Support breastfeeding and provide patient education to parents Conduct newborn assessments and manage complications (hypoglycemia, metabolic screening, phototherapy) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, pharmacy, social services, etc.) Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Float to other units as required based on census Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while adhering to safety protocols Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Tucson, Arizona and discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Labor & Delivery!
