Portfolio & Operations Analyst

$25.00-$28.00 / hr

Onsite : Beaverton, OR

6 month assignment

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Portfolio & Operations Analyst to support a 6-month project. This role will focus on streamlining operational processes, driving efficiencies, managing contracts and payments, and creating impactful visualizations to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills, along with a proven ability to navigate a matrixed corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Process Optimization

  • Lead onboarding to tools and processes during the first ~90 days, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
  • Analyze and enhance workflows across the team and broader organization.
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Apply a change management approach to support transitions to new processes.

Visualization & Communication

  • Develop executive-level presentations and visual reports using PowerPoint.
  • Create dashboards and operational insights using Airtable or similar platforms.
  • Communicate effectively across a matrixed organization, including senior leadership.
  • Contract & Financial Management

  • Manage contract lifecycles including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewals.
  • Oversee payment processes and vendor relationships.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree required.
  • 1-2 years minimum experience in operations management or related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, especially in navigating matrixed organizations.
  • Expertise in PowerPoint for executive-level presentations.
  • Experience with Airtable and / or Smartsheet .
  • Solid background in financial management (budgeting, forecasting, planning).
  • Proven experience in SOP documentation and process efficiency.
  • Prior client experience preferred.
  • Experience with vendors in a corporate business operations context is ideal.
  • Desired Soft Skills

  • Collaborative nature and team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to multitask and adjust tasks due to reprioritization.
  • Experience with peer or people management to support change and transition.
  • Bachelor s degree minimum required for this role
  • FTE leave coverage; HM anticipates this will be ~6 mo long engagement
  • PMP certification nice to have, not required
  • 1-2 years minimum experience preferred in an operations analyst role

  • Candidates with a corporate business operations skillset who have vendor safety / security experience will be ideal for this position
  • Main focus of the role for the first ~90 days will be onboarding to all the tools and processes and identifying those to evaluate efficiencies & see what can be improved upon
  • This ETW would work directly with 6 others on the team, all reporting up to the Resilience leadership team who sits under the Chief Security Officer
  • 1-2 rounds of interviews
