Irrigation Service Technician
Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Irrigation Service Technician to handle all aspects of irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair. This role combines hands-on technical work with light supervision of helpers and direct customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain complete irrigation systems : controllers, valves, heads, rotors, drip systems, 2-wire systems
- Perform pressure testing, trenching, pipe pulling, and wiring
- Read irrigation plans and lay out job sites
- Operate specialized equipment : trenchers, pullers, GPS locators, tampers
- Manage material ordering and job scheduling
- Interface professionally with customers, subcontractors, and architects
- Complete job paperwork, change orders, and cost reports
- Train and supervise irrigation helpers as needed
Requirements
Essential Qualifications :
High school diploma / GEDValid driver's license with clean record2+ years irrigation service experienceBilingual (Spanish / English) - oral and writtenAbility to lift 50 lbs and handle physical demandsCPR / First Aid certificationClean background check and employment eligibility documentationTechnical Skills :
Experience with all irrigation system components and installationAbility to read irrigation plans and drawingsEquipment operation and basic maintenanceGPS locator system proficiencyCRM software experience (or ability to learn)Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) certification (Preferred)What We Offer
