We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Local Truck Driver with a valid CDL Class A license to join our family-owned business. The driver will be responsible for transporting goods locally (and in the Chicago area), ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently for local and Chicago area deliveries.
  • Load and unload cargo (may involve manual handling, depending on load).
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT and company regulations.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with production, customers, and warehouse staff.
  • Report any incidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly.

Requirements :

  • Valid CDL Class A license (with clean driving record).
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience required.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, if required.
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills.
  • Must pass physical, drug test, and background check.
