Certified Pulmonology Coder

A company is looking for a Single Path Coder Specialist in Pulmonology for a remote permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and / or HCPCS codes according to established guidelines

Ensure data integrity of coded patient records by reviewing medical documentation

Act as a resource for researching patient accounts and communicating with providers for clarification

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High School diploma or equivalent required

Completion of an accredited coding program with certification preferred

1 year of coding experience required

Recognized certification by AHIMA or AAPC preferred

Knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding principles
