RN - Pediatric Unit

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our partner's Pediatric Unit in Seattle, WA. Position Overview

As an RN on the Pediatric Unit, you will be responsible for providing direct, patient-centered care to children with a variety of medical conditions. Your role is vital in assessing, planning, and implementing care plans that meet the unique needs of a younger patient population. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure every child receives the best possible care, while also providing crucial support and education to their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients, monitoring their health and developmental needs.
• Administer medications and treatments with a focus on age-appropriate techniques and dosage.
• Assess patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and maintain meticulous medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, child life specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute effective care plans.
• Offer emotional support and clear, simple education to patients and their families.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, with a strong emphasis on family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:
  
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • A Washington Registered Nurse License is required upon hire.
  • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
  • A National Provider PALS from the American Academy of Pediatrics is required upon hire.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Pediatric Nursing experience is required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  • National Certification in your area of specialty.
