Key Position Details Position Type : Locum Tenens Location : Near Grass Valley, CA Specialty : Interventional Radiology Facility Type : General Acute Care Hospital Start Date : December 1, 2024 Bid Due Date : November 6, 2024, 5 PM EST Shift Schedule : 8 AM - 4 : 30 PM with occasional night call Weekend Requirements : Yes On-Call Requirements : Yes, but low likelihood of being called in Required Skills & Certifications Licensing : Active California Medical License required Board Status : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology Additional Certifications : BLS, CA Fluoroscopy, and DEA license Preferred Experience : Clean malpractice history is highly desired Role Responsibilities Provide coverage for interventional radiology needs and stroke-related imaging. Primary Procedures : Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, CT / US-guided biopsies, and lumbar punctures. Imaging Duties : Stroke CTs, ICU, and ED imaging studies. Daily studies include CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI. Daily Volume Studies per Day : Approximately 50 studies, including : CTs : 15-20 X-rays : 15-20 Ultrasounds : 10 MRIs : 5 IR Procedures : 5-8 Support and Tools Support Staff : Diagnostic imaging nurses and radiology techs on-site EMR System : Cerner Credentialing Requirements Documentation Needed : Updated CV, provider's NPI or license number, availability, and malpractice history.
