Full Life Care - Homecare Specialist

This role starts at $24.24 per hour

This position is represented by SEIU Local 775

Our Homecare Specialists :

  • Provide non-medical care tasks to clients as outlined in their care plans.
  • Guide and actively assisting Homecare Aides with various client needs, including personal care, bathing, toileting, dressing, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Facilitate and maintain communication between the client, their Homecare Aide, and the Homecare Supervisor when necessary.
  • Effectively and promptly communicating client changes to Homecare Supervisors.
  • Serve as an on-site problem-solver for both the Homecare Aide and the client.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client concerns and program updates.
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as payroll entry, filing, orientations, processing applications, and contacting clients and Homecare Aides as needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all homecare training procedures and tools.
  • Think critically in the field and seeking direction from Homecare Supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information

What You Need to Succeed :

  • A high school diploma or GED is highly preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience.
  • Completion of all required state-mandated training and certifications.
  • Ability to complete tasks and projects as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Proficiency (written / verbal) in English language.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Availability to be reached and respond quickly to client emergencies.
  • Experience with Hoyer lifts and completion of Nurse Delegation and Nurse Delegation for Diabetes training highly preferred.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Capability to travel intermittently throughout the day.
  • Ability to assist clients with walking, transferring, and bathing.
