Job Summary : The Certified Nurse Aide 2 (CNA) provides clients various personal care and homemaker / companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence. Essential Functions :

• Personal Care

o Provide assistance with : bathing, dressing, grooming, nail / skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair, walker, crutches, cane), change of position, with toileting, commode, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding

o Provide restorative care as well as assistance with : the use of adaptive, assistive and therapeutic equipment, cleaning and changing appliances / devices for non-acute ostomies, applying warm and cold compresses, using advanced transfer techniques, applying oxygen at predetermined established flow rate, changing basic non-sterile dressing when no wound debridement or packing is involved, obtaining clean-catch urine sample and perform tests, monitoring blood glucose levels, dementia Care

o Provide companionship and respite services for family

o Assist with the administration of medication
