Emergency Medical Technician (Event Coverage)

Duties : Provide autonomous sideline coverage for a variety of sporting events within EMT scope of practice, including but not limited to :

Emergency response to cardiac situations

Evaluation and intervention of concussions, in accordance with state licensure laws

Monitoring and intervention of heat-related illness

Evaluation & treatment of skin abrasions, wounds, and other topical conditions

Evaluation and treatment of soft tissue musculoskeletal injuries

Document patient information accurately and timely

Skills :

Strong communication skills to interact with patients effectively, families, and athletic team members

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and patient care activities

Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient mobility

Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
