Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mesa, AZ. In this role, you will lead DO-178C documentation planning, development, and compliance execution for software embedded in multi-discipline defense training solutions. You will partner with other teams to ensure rigorous requirements, design assurance, verification, traceability, configuration management, and certification readiness aligned to DO-178C and related aerospace / defense standards. Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and maintenance of lifecycle data, documentation, planning, development and compliance execution for software in multidiscipline defense training solutions
- Define and maintain compliance strategy, including planning, standards alignment, review gates, and evidence collection.
- Own / drive the traceability chain across high-level requirements → low-level requirements → design → code → verification results.
- Author and maintain deliverables appropriate to the program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure processes, testing and procedures are satisfying objectives.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field strongly preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.Demonstrated experience producing and leading documentation (planning + lifecycle data) on real programs. DO-178C experience strongly preferred.Strong, hands on experience in languages such as C / C++, or other languages depending on stack.Experience with system testing and validation techniques.Experience with MIL-STD'sExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Military service or government contract experience preferred.Able to speak comfortably with management, program managers and directors, and clients.Willing and able to travel both in and outside US.Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance required.
