What You Will Work On :
Serve as the lead with responsibility for the management of the donor database including data and gift entry, processing donations, clean-up and maintenance, reports, lists, dashboards, security and user settings.Pull reports, including weekly contribution reports for the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and the Executive Director, and the development team as needed.Generate and mail thank you letters and tax receipts for all donations to the Agency in a timely manner.Serve as liaison to donors and potential donors regarding thank you letters, tax receipts and payment processing.Provide support to the CDO to schedule meetings with key stakeholders, board members, donors and potential donors.Conduct donor research and wealth screening to inform donor cultivation efforts and aid in developing strategic relationships between Catholic Charities and potential individuals, families and businesses.Track all information via Donor Perfect so the Development team has access to the correct and relevant information.Effectively work with donors, partners and foundations on transaction level inquiries and needs.Assist with Development department communications aimed at donors, parishes and other constituents.Manage and keep applicable staff trained on In-Kind donation process and polic yAccept and manage automobile and in-kind gift donations according to current processes .Assist with the execution of logistics related to fundraising events : registration administration, vendor management, sponsorship payment processing in coordination with the Finance department, volunteer management, and onsite day-of-event support.Manage Development collateral materials, keep inventory and monitor for re-order, in coordination with the Communications department.Assist with management and follow up on pledge gifts and assist with the administration of bequests and other forms of planned giving.Manage Development special projects as needed / assigned.What You Bring :
Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements / Preferences
Bachelor's Degree (4-Year Program) or equivalent lived and or worked experience.Experience Requirements / Preferences
2 years of previous experience in an administrative support role required, and in a non-profit Development department preferred.Strong working knowledge of a donor data management system such as Donor Perfect or Blackbaud.Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. High attention to detail required.Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills .Demonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters .Travel between sites in Portland required. Must have driver's license, access to vehicle and ability to obtain automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100 / 300 / 100).Ability to lift 40 lbs.Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Background and MVR Screening :
Satisfactory results from pre-employment criminal and civil background screening required. Motor vehicle records (MVR) review required as needed.
