CONTEXT : The Sales Manager will lead a team of 3-4 sales representatives and drive revenue growth within the ready-mix concrete industry or closely related markets. The ideal candidate has strong market knowledge, existing relationships with key players, and a proven ability to lead a high-performing team. This person will play a key role in developing strategy, expanding accounts, and supporting the company's significant growth goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team of 3-4 representatives to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals for 35%+ year-over-year growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ready-mix concrete producers, contractors, and industry partners.
- Identify new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding current customer accounts.
- Monitor competitor activity and gather market intelligence to inform strategy and pricing decisions.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, performance evaluations, and sales planning sessions.
- Collaborate with internal operational and leadership teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS :
5+ years of sales experience, including at least 2-3 years in a leadership or team management role.Ready-mix concrete industry experience strongly preferred; related sectors (aggregates, cement, construction materials) considered if customer contacts align.Strong existing relationships with key decision-makers in the target market.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
