Ideal candidates will bring clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative spirit to our growing team.About the RoleThe Preschool Mental Health Counselor will provide on-site classroom observations, screenings, teacher and parent consultations, and brief early interventions for preschool-aged children exhibiting behavioral or emotional challenges.This role combines clinical skill with creativity, empathy, and teamwork ideal for a counselor who loves helping children grow within supportive community settings.ResponsibilitiesConduct classroom and play-based behavioral observations (Head Start & preschool sites)Complete preschool behavioral screenings and mental-health assessments using CPH toolsProvide teacher consultations and parent feedback meetingsDevelop individualized support recommendations for children and classroomsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams (teachers, family advocates, OTs, SLPs)Maintain clear, strengths-based documentation and follow-up plansParticipate in reflective supervision, team meetings, and professional developmentAbout CPH Mental Health CounselingAt CPH, we believe early support changes everything.
