  • Overview :
  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance and ensure smooth operation of end-user computing environments. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing service desk tickets, and supporting desktop configurations in a dynamic setting.

    • Key Responsibilities :
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices in a timely manner.
    • Provide hands-on support for end users, including software installations, hardware upgrades, and system configurations.
    • Manage and resolve assigned service desk tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to SLAs.
    • Develop and maintain standard desktop configurations to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
    • Mentor and guide student workers or junior staff on hardware and software troubleshooting best practices.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Assist with imaging, deployment, and refresh of desktop systems.
    • Support common productivity tools and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Maintain accurate records of support activities and contribute to knowledge base documentation.
    • Required Skills & Qualifications :
    • 1-3 years of experience in desktop support or technical troubleshooting.
    • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
    • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common productivity applications.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Preferred Qualifications :
    • Experience in a dental or medical environment.
    • Knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking concepts.
    • Exposure to ITSM ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
    • Experience mentoring or training junior staff.

    • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of High Point, NC.

    • Pay and Benefits
    • The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 / hr.
