About the Role
The AI Creative Solution Director is accountable for direction, motivation, and financial impact of a newly formed team that focuses on content and innovation (AI development). You oversee the delivery of pitches and execution of ideas within or across platforms by providing expert knowledge of the AI production process, techniques, and technology necessary to execute the content work. You are responsible for attracting, developing, and deploying internal production talent to ensure the best content and production value possible for the idea and the client. You are accountable for the overall quality of work, ensuring goals are met and projects are delivered on time and on budget and delivering within the margin targets.
You have 10–15+ years of experience in an agency capacity, are a creative problem‑solver, and possess strong leadership skills to help build out the Innovation Center of Excellence team activities, with a focus on comms management, R&D, education, sales and execution. You are a great communicator, motivator, and project manager with an innate ability to “get things done.” Leading from the front and setting a strategic environment that allows producers to excel.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales and creative development processes with an AI‑enabled / forward production‑led mentality. Ensure that we show up competitive and set us apart by bringing the AI content capabilities as part of the pitch process, aligning all pitches to the global vision and strategy.
Innovation : Ensure that all AI processes are deployed and delivered on, in collaboration with other EPs and an SME team that allows you to move at the pace of the market.
COE : Build and implement the Innovation Center of Excellence, collaborating with operations and SME enablement.
Operations : Build, implement, and enhance the existing Studio AI production process.
Benchmarking : Support tracking on existing productions before and after cost savings and implementing savings structures.
Client Service : Provide best‑in‑class AI service enablement to Monks teams and clients, allowing for continuous growth together.
Partnership : Collaborate closely with regional business leads to deliver an end‑to‑end experience for clients and structure a model that safeguards the production funnels.
Cross‑functional Collaboration : Work with growth, account, and social teams to identify opportunities and grow together.
Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential legal risks and challenges that may impact production timelines, budgets, or quality. Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
Comms : Roll out and manage the yearly comms plan on AI for studio.monk in collaboration with other leads; comms include social, education, implementation, community, or other AI‑related messaging.
R&D : Develop and manage regional squad teams to deliver on AI products, help form teams, enable them, and hold them accountable to deliver on their commitments.
Essential Functions
Project / Pipeline Management.
Oversee, guide, coordinate, and deploy new processes and structure as we continue to grow and scale in AI.
Support sales and lead production strategies to meet quarterly targets.
Define and document best practices and contribute to company knowledge‑sharing effort.
Implement consistent process globally – AI Pitch intake centralization.
Collaborate to cross‑train globally and regionally.
About You – The Essentials
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years’ experience in print / photo, motion, social and digital and post‑production / content production, with progressively expanding roles in an advertising agency or high‑tech environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong PM skill set.
Strong business acumen and problem‑solving skills.
Expectation to learn the AI‑approved tool stacks and dive in head first to be able to build and develop net new craft process.
Knowledge & Skills
Mastery in at least two discipline areas : motion, interactive, emerging media, art buying / print production; programming or understanding of additional technological related disciplines.
Fluency in complex contracting including talent (union and non‑union), music licensing / publishing and 3rd‑party works for hire.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (AI, IDD, PS).
Willingness to learn the AI‑approved tool stacks and dive in head first to be able to build and develop net new craft process.

Salary Range : $160,000—$200,000 USD
This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then‑current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.
Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting.
