APP Orthopedic Surgery Detroit Full Time Days

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for the Orthopedics division.

• This position will be Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
• There is no weekend or call component to the position.
• There is no operative first assist requirement.
• The candidate will have an independent and shared / concurrent clinic 5 days per week at the Detroit K-12 clinic, seeing postoperative patients, fractures, diabetic wounds, resection of toenails, and treatment of plantar warts.
• The individual will perform inpatient rounding during the morning, complete progress notes, and work with podiatric residents.
• The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of experience in orthopedics or podiatry with a focus on diabetic wound care, fracture, or equivalent.

GENERAL SUMMARY :

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. -OR- Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Must be eligible or have obtained a DEA number for prescriptive authority in Michigan.
