Job descriptionSupervise, train, and develop a team of technicians to ensure efficient and effective diesel truck repairs. Oversee all maintenance operations to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, while ensuring optimal fleet performance. Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and track productivity to maintain shop efficiency. Provide technical support and guidance to technicians on complex repairs and diagnostics. Ensure all repairs meet industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and customer expectations. Ensure completion and accuracy of repair orders, shop paperwork, and part purchases. Conduct regular quality checks and audits on repairs and maintenance performed by technicians. Communicate daily with Fleet Supervisor to provide updates on repair status and fleet maintenance needs. Develop and implement plans to improve shop productivity and quality of work. Manage inventory of tools, parts, and equipment, ensuring that stock is maintained and ordered as needed. Review repair orders, warranty claims, and service invoices for accuracy before submission. Assist in customer interactions when necessary, ensuring a high level of service satisfaction. Ensure all technicians comply with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Proven expertise in diesel truck repair and maintenance, with a strong background in diagnostics and troubleshooting. At least three years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop technicians. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and OEM Dealer Portals. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and staff effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple tasks and deadlines. Familiarity with fleet maintenance programs, warranty processes, and part inventory management.
