Job Summary :

The Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of public areas, back-of-house areas, and supporting room attendants with linen and supplies. This role ensures that guest areas and service areas meet hotel standards of cleanliness and presentation, contributing to a positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain cleanliness of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, fitness centers, and pool areas
  • Assist room attendants by delivering linens, guest supplies, and cleaning equipment as needed
  • Collect soiled linens and transport them to the laundry area
  • Empty trash and ensure waste is disposed of properly in both guest and service areas
  • Set up meeting rooms, banquet areas, and other function spaces as directed
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from other departments and guests
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to the supervisor
  • Replenish supplies in public areas (tissues, hand towels, toiletries, etc.)
  • Adhere to safety and security procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests at all times

Qualifications :

  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience in a hotel setting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
