Overview

Water Resources Program Rule Development Lead (Environmental Planner 5) is a position with the Washington State Department of Ecology. This role involves developing policies, guidance documents, and procedural work products to improve implementation of instream flow rules, and collaborating with experts to address complex water resources issues related to rulemaking.

Responsibilities

  • Develop policies, guidance documents, and procedural work products to improve implementation of instream flow rules.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop solutions to complex water resources issues related to rulemaking.
  • Work within the Water Resources Program to support sustainable water resources management in partnership with Washington communities.
  • Location options across Headquarters (Lacey), NWRO (Shoreline), CRO (Union Gap), and ERO (Spokane); tele-work options up to 90%.

Location and Compensation

Location : Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA; NWRO in Shoreline, WA; CRO in Union Gap, WA; ERO in Spokane, WA. Final location may affect telework. Salary range : $78,120.00 - $105,096.00 annually (depending on location).

Some positions in NWRO may include a 5% pay increase due to King County location.
