Key Responsibilities
Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport machinery and equipment to job sites
Secure, load, and unload heavy equipment following DOT and OSHA safety guidelines
Operate forklifts and rigging equipment to position, relocate, or install machinery on-site
Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after transport to ensure safety and compliance
Communicate effectively with field crews, dispatch, and clients to coordinate deliveries
Follow project timelines and adjust routes as needed for efficiency
Maintain accurate driving logs and transportation records
Uphold all safety and operational standards while representing Halbert Brothers on job sites
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in machinery transport and forklift operation
Machinery installation, alignment, leveling, rigging, and millwright experience preferred
Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record
Valid forklift certification
High school diploma or GED required
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment safety procedures and DOT regulations
Ability to safely maneuver in tight or high-traffic areas
Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to professionalism
Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions
Not open to entry-level applicants
