Job Description
- Conduct initial declassification reviews in support of Government agency
- Analyze unclassified and classified documents to determine the appropriate action needed in accordance with E.O. 13526
- Demonstrate understanding of document markings
- Utilize analytical skills to make determinations on documents for release, referral to other agencies, and exemption from automatic declassification
- Recognize possible nuclear weapons and intelligence information
- Properly handle boxes and documents (boxes can weigh between 15-25 lbs.) and ensure integrity of each and every box remains intact
- Employ technical and computer literacy for digital workflow
- Have the ability to perform reviews and evaluations on records using the declassification review process, using classification guides, exhibit personal recognition of other agency equities, proper use of dispositions as applied to documents reviewed and display mastery of the data management system.
- At a minimum, have experience working on classified projects and proficient with safeguarding, maintaining and the proper handling of classified records.
- The Records Management Analyst I(s) must be willing to interact with government employees and provide feedback and instruction to other employees
Job Requirements
At a minimum, the Records Management Analyst I(s) shall have :a) At least two (2) years of military experience, OR
b) At least two (2) years of experience in the field of specialized expertise which include performance of the following functions with respect to Army Records Management to include Declassification, FOIA, or Privacy, ORc) A bachelor's or postgraduate degree from an accredited college or university.d) Be knowledgeable of Records Management and / or Declassification Requirements.Active DoD Top Secret ClearanceAbility to pass a Historical Records Restricted Data Reviewer CourseAbility to communicate effectively - both orally and in writingDemonstrate strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detailAbility to multi-task, work in a team environment, and adjust to established work patterns and processes as requiredWe are equal opportunity / affirmative action employers, committed to diversity in the workplace.
