Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian / St Luke's Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Endoscopy RN oversees and directs the care of the patient undergoing endoscopic procedures. The Endoscopy RN is responsible for the care of endoscopy patients. Assists in sedation with pulmonary patients / procedures. Serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Details :

• Self / preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule
• Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff
• Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room
• Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement
• On-call is required during select non-business hours
