About The Position
Weekly Pay $51.67 / hour - SLP at Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island
- Evaluate and diagnose communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric inpatient rehabilitation patients.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to address patient-specific needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including speech therapy, language retraining, cognitive therapy, and dysphagia management.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies, progress, and care techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, case managers) for coordinated patient care.
- Accurately document assessments, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning.
- Serve adult and geriatric patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, post-surgical complications, and complex medical conditions affecting speech or swallowing.
