Key Accounts Manager
Overview
Symmons is seeking a Key Accounts Manager who will oversee the sales, marketing and merchandising of New England Key Accounts by managing relationships at the corporate level, within showrooms and at branch levels, and driving sales growth of all Symmons products.
The Key Accounts Manager will focus on sales and showroom growth, relationship building and marketing strategies with top regional wholesale accounts.
Along with managing those external relationships, this role will be required to report to Symmons leadership on progress updates with strategy plans for key customer engagements and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and collaborate with the Account Service Manager to ensure team achieves collective team goals with wholesale, retail and showroom accounts.
- Manage the channel strategy and execution to create best in class customer experience to achieve sales goals.
- Responsible for development of key relationships at wholesale accounts and at various customer levels within the New England Region.
- Work closely with Product, Content and Design Marketing to develop and implement Showroom and New England SPIF programs.
- Work with New England Sales Director to conduct quarterly meetings with top regional wholesale customers to review sales performance, customer rebate status, etc
- Develop and execute launch plans and marketing strategies for new product introductions working in conjunction with Product Marketing.
- Coordinate and communicate promotional calendar with marketing team and sales to manage and minimize cross channel conflicts.
- Ensure all Symmons products are merchandised, priced and represented effectively at our customers’ distribution centers, showroom and retail locations and catalogs.
- Provide training and materials for wholesaler showrooms on Symmons’ offerings and benefits.
- Ensure product information and marketing collateral are currently represented to customers, and marketing tools are developed and utilized effectively.
Work closely with product marketing to identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct competitive market analysis to formulate recommendations for an annual channel plan including advertising and promotional strategies.
- Ongoing and up to date monitoring and reporting of all sales activity, sales trends and key performance indicators.
- Manage and report on approved channel specific expense budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required preferably in Business or related discipline.
- 5 years Sales experience preferred - including 2-3 years wholesale, retail or showroom specific experience working on brand and channel growth.
- Experience with Salesforce Software
- Adept at creative thinking, problem solving and managing flexibility in a constantly changing customer environment.
- Strong analytical skills balanced with creative ability and acute attention to detail.
- Experience with the creative development process and program execution.
- Experience with creating sales budgets, P&Ls, forecasting, promotional offers to grow sales.
- Strong organizational and proven project management skills.
- Able to work effectively across functions.
- Proficient written, verbal and presentation skills required.
- 75% weekly travel in New England Region very limited overnight travel.
