This multi-specialty MD / OD MSO, with its own eye-only Ambulatory Surgery Center and LASIK Center, is dedicated to enhancing vision and eye health for the communities we serve. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-time Optometrist to join our practice. As an integral member of our team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality eye care services to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving vision and promoting eye health, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering personalized care to each patient.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, binocular vision, and ocular health.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular conditions, including but not limited to, myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
• Prescribe and fit contact lenses to meet patients' visual needs.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and other ocular procedures.
• Educate patients about proper eye care practices, including the importance of regular eye examinations, proper contact lens hygiene, and the management of ocular conditions.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare and organizational team, including ophthalmologists, opticians, and operational administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The organization uses Nextech / MDI Intellechart.
• Stay current with advancements in optometric technology, treatment modalities, and professional standards through continuing education and professional development activities.
