Medical Records Specialist

A company is looking for a ROI Medical Records Specialist - Hybrid. Key Responsibilities Reviews requestor information and determines records to be released in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Handles phone inquiries regarding various ROI issues and processes requests from physician offices as needed Logs medical record requests into the ROI On-Line database and complies with facility policies and regulations Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High School Diploma / GED required One or more years of experience entering data into computer systems Prior work experience in Release of Information in a physician's office or HIM Department is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred
