JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION : Restaurant Manager

FLSA : Exempt

REPORTS TO : Director of Food & Beverage

SUMMARY : Wintergreen Resort is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage team. Our high-volume restaurant offers spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, live entertainment, and an energetic bar—making it the place to be when the sun sets over the mountain.

As the Restaurant Manager, you’ll oversee the smooth operation of the entire establishment, ensuring both guests and associates experience a warm, professional, and memorable environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directly supervise front-of-house staff while collaborating with the Head Chef to maintain seamless coordination between kitchen and service.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Lead staff meetings to foster communication and engagement.
• Handle guest and associate concerns with professionalism.
• Manage ordering of liquor, beer, wine, and maintain proper cost percentages for food and beverages.
• Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and fully equipped.
• Schedule and manage front-of-house staff effectively.
• Implement programs that drive revenue growth and profitability.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES :

High School diploma or GED required.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT(S) :

Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
