Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer for a 3-month project based in Miramar, FL. This is a full-time, on-site role (5 days / week) starting immediately after interview, offering $40 / hour.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in Microsoft platforms, comfortable using a camera to capture and upload images, and capable of organizing and updating service manuals with minimal new content creation.

Key Responsibilities

Review and revise existing service manuals for accuracy, clarity, and consistency

Piece together documentation from older manuals and create small amounts of new content

Collaborate with 3 subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and verify information

Capture and upload photographs of equipment, components, and procedures

Format and organize documentation using Microsoft tools (Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)

Maintain version control and document history

Support updates across multiple product lines

No compliance documentation required

Required Qualifications

Experience in technical writing, preferably in a service or manufacturing environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and cloud platforms (SharePoint, OneDrive)

Ability to take clear, well-lit photographs and upload them into documentation systems

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Fluent in English

Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with document control systems or enterprise content management platforms

Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 / hr.
