EverQuote is seeking a Data Science Manager to join our growing team in Cambridge! We're looking for a technical leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong interpersonal skills. As a Data Science Manager, you'll guide a data science team to deliver high-quality models and ML-based solutions, drive strong technical practices and culture, and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of our ML strategy in partnership with both business and technical stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role that requires being in office several days a week.

The base salary range for this full-time hybrid position is $143,920-$236,000. Employees, depending on their specific role, level and responsibilities, may be eligible to participate in company variable compensation or equity programs.

What you'll do :

  • Manage a team of talented data scientists in the design, development, and deployment of our models and ML solutions
  • Partner closely with both business and technical teams to understand key business problems, drive ML solution discovery, and guide the team to build, deploy and implement our models in the business
  • Shape the future of our ML-based products, working with our product and leadership teams on our data science strategy and planning processes

Who You Are :

  • 6+ years of experience experience in Data Science / ML, with at least 3 years in a leadership and management role (Data Science Manager or Tech Lead)
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Math / Statistics, or a related field
  • Strong technical background in data science / machine learning, mathematics, statistics, ML Ops, and adjacent technologies (data engineering, analytics, etc), combined with exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience delivering data science / ML solutions in a business environment, as well as managing data scientists directly
  • Humble, Hungry, Smart. You're a strong team player, eager to grow, and capable of supporting others
  • Excellent communicator with a hands-on approach to leadership and management
  • Someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
