About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in New York beginning Nov 18, 2025. This 28-day opportunity involves night shifts (7p-7a) working a 7 on / 7 off schedule, with support from residents and no procedures required. The role primarily focuses on inpatient care in a closed ICU setting, ideal for board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians who are adept at managing admissions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities and Duties
Manage inpatient census of 6-8 patients per night in a closed ICUAdmit 2-4 new patients per nightWork collaboratively with residents; delegate and oversee tasks as appropriateCoordinate patient handoffs with mid-shift hospitalist (3p-3a) and receive acclimation support from the medical director during initial days (3a-7a)Maintain clear and timely documentation in Epic EMRProvide high-quality patient care without performing proceduresAdditional Information
Must hold an active New York medical licenseBoard certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredOrientation scheduled for Nov 17, 2025, from 10am to 1pmPrevious experience with Epic preferredBenefits
