SP: Student Services (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

The Coordinator-DEI will support the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) activities of the Office of Student Affairs by serving as the program coordinator of the LLU School of Pharmacy Hispanic Center of Excellence in Pharmacy (HCEP), and assisting between the SP and our local pipeline organizations. The coordinator will assist maintaining information databases related to HCEP activities and organize the required progress reports to the funding agency. The coordinator will also facilitate communication between the HCEP team members, HCEP scholars, and HCEP fellows. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree required or in lieu of degree four years of relevant experience required. Experience working with high school and college aged individuals preferred.
Familiarity with Slate, Canvas and Banner preferred. Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Spanish language fluency required. Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position; Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively, professional and with utmost courtesy on the telephone; has an outgoing, positive personality exhibiting high energy and enthusiasm when working with high school and college aged young adults; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision and proactively pursue the work required in the position description without prompting. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
