Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med / Surg Tele unit Patient ratio of 1 : 6 or up to 1 : 12 with team nursing Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Required to work every other weekend or two weekends per month Floating required according to clinical experience and standard policies No on-call responsibilities Cerner charting is used, with Cerner experience preferred but not required Holiday time off requests cannot be accommodated for major holidays including Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day Requests for time off cannot occur within 14 days of contract start and cannot exceed 7 days Travelers may address holiday time off directly with the manager after arrival using the provided RTO form Travelers cannot return to the same campus as previous perm staff within 24 months, but may return to another campus within 12 months Modules must be completed during orientation and annually through an internal system Team nursing support is provided when patient ratios are higher Related or married travel teams are not permitted to work on the same unit 75 mile radius rule applies for local candidates, who are accepted at a lower rate Requirements Active TN or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent acute care RN experience Travel nursing experience required Certifications required : BLS (AHA), NIHSS; ACLS preferred Must pass EKG testing prior to start date Color blind testing required Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of start date Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-616877.
