Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in supporting Warehouse operations by ensuring accurate and timely management of inventory data and work order processes. This position is responsible for the completion and reconciliation of work orders, performing cycle counts, conducting accurate data entry into the ERP system (Sage), and creating or updating work orders as needed.
Additional responsibilities include tracking product yields, generating inventory reports for internal teams, customers, and the corporate office, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and traceability on the production floor. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in inventory control processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn, and adhere to, all Safety policies & procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) established for NLX
- Learn, and adhere to, all Quality policies and procedures including Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Close work orders as production runs are completed (within 72 hours from the end of the run), also ensure all work orders are closed by the 3rd of the month for month end financials
- Work order summary reporting
- Work with Production team to ensure accurate WO creation per production schedule
- Pull raw materials and stage them for production on a daily basis
- Perform cycle counts on consumable products and perform finished goods cycle counts as needed to insure all are counted
- Cross reference final counts in production packets with cycle counts for work order close
- Work with Warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory
- Communicate inventory and production counts via e-mail when needed
- Assist with daily rack count and sugar count and send out appropriate email
- Assist with updating SOPs as in pertains to inventory control
- Work with department heads and supervisors for continuous improvement of paperwork process
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Education and Skills
High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment.Experience with ERP / WMS systems preferredDemonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to ensure understanding of written procedures, safety instructions, technical documentation, and verbal communications.Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of weights and measures. Must be comfortable using a calculatorFamiliarity with basic computer systems and control interfacesBasic understanding of food production and food safety principles is a plusTeam-oriented attitude; respectful, approachable, honest, dependable, and adaptable to change. Work environment may involve exposure to inclement weather. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, which may include but is not limited to : safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields, as required by specific job duties and safety protocols.
