Job Title : Payroll Coordinator
Position Summary :
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for accurately preparing, reconciling, and processing payroll for staff within the healthcare organization's central office and affiliated sites. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies, labor regulations, and payroll best practices while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collect, verify, and reconcile employee timesheets to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Prepare and process payroll in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
- Maintain payroll records and employee data in the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Review time and attendance data for discrepancies and resolve issues in coordination with department managers and HR.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed.
- Assist with payroll audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
- Support staff with payroll-related inquiries, including deductions, leave balances, and pay adjustments.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance to ensure consistency of employee information and payroll data.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll policies, state / federal regulations, and organizational procedures.
Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma or GED required.Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in :Timesheet preparation and reconciliation
Payroll preparation and processingUsing payroll or HRIS software (e.g., ADP, Kronos, Paycom, or similar)Skills :Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applicationsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred Qualifications (Optional) :
Experience in a healthcare or multi-site organizationKnowledge of state and federal payroll laws and regulationsFamiliarity with electronic timekeeping systems
