Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at an urgent care facility. The role involves a combination of patient care, administrative duties, and supporting both back and front office operations.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients efficiently.
• Measure and record patient vitals accurately.
• Log patient information into the EMR / EHR system (NexGen).
• Verify patient insurance details.
• Cover the front desk during the receptionist's lunch break.
• Perform Medical Assistant duties as required.

Work Environment

The urgent care facility operates 7 days a week, handling 40-45 patients daily. Shifts are from 10 AM to 10 : 30 PM, with a schedule of 3x12 hour shifts per week. The environment is fast-paced, requiring adaptability and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Covina, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00 / hr.
