Data Test Engineer
Responsible for ensuring quality and reliability of data infrastructure, user interfaces, and services via data validation and automated testing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated data test scenarios based on system specifications.
- Develop test scripts using appropriate tools to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Strategize automated testing and provide feedback across analysis, design, implementation, and execution phases.
- Think creatively and brainstorm suggestions for developing, releasing, and maintaining test procedures.
- Confirm data and implement data manipulation or modeling as needed.
- Investigate data quality defects thoroughly and document.
- Provide clear steps to reproduce issues along with precise definitions of the environment in which the defect was located.
Test Documentation
Maintain accurate test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test results.Communicate best practices in data testing and quality across teams.Collaboration
Work closely with stakeholders to drive higher software and data quality.Participate in planning, daily stand-up, review, and retrospective meetings.Be a positive influence and promote goodwill among departments.Essential to Your Success
Knowledgeable in Python and AWS Glue / Lambda.Solid understanding of SQL for data validation, analysis, and test automation.Experience with version control (Git) and CI / CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab pipelines, Jenkins).Experience in Agile / DevOps environment collaborating with analysts, product owners, and developers.Experience with front-end & backend testing.Experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiencies : Selenium, TestNG / JUnit, AWS QuickSight / Redshift, Terraform / AWS CloudFormation, Java, OnBase, Eloquence, Salesforce.Education Requirements
Preferred : 4-Year / Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.Years of Experience
Minimum five years of experience with automated unit and integration testing.Experience in testing data validation scenarios required.Exposure to Agile teamwork methods preferred, insurance industry experience preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer
