Patient Populations : Adult, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Obstetrics

Specialties & Procedures :

Ortho : Total Joints, ORIF, Arthroscopy

OB / GYN : Cesarean Section, LAVH, D&C, Diagnostic Lap

General Surgery : Lap Appy, Lap Chole, Ex Lap, Endoscopy

Equipment Used : C-arm, Mako

Average Cases per Day :

6–10 (can be up to 20)

Are RNs Required to Scrub?

No

Required Experience / Skills :

Experience in Ortho, GYN, and General Surgery

Minimum 2 years OR experience

Previous travel experience in an OR unit is required

Manager / Charge Nurse Coverage :

No manager or charge nurse on each shift

Charge nurse does not take an assignment

Shift Details :

9-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday

0700–1630 or 0600–1530

Team / self-scheduling available

Call Requirements :

Weeknights : 1–2 call shifts per week (end of shift to 0700 next day)

Weekends : 1 weekend per month (0700 Friday to 0700 Monday)

Holidays : On-call

Call Response Time : 15 minutes

Floating Requirements :

Occasionally assist other departments (no patient loads)

Support with call lights, 1-on-1s, etc.

Orientation :

1 week of unit / department-specific orientation

Radius Rule :

50 miles

Candidates must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI and / or Dignity)

RTO Policy :

RTO must be submitted upfront (maximum 7 days per 13-week contract)

No additional RTO will be approved after submission
