Overview

Job Description : Seeking Appian Engineer to lead the designing and development, automating, and optimizing complex processes from start to finish. The applications building will improve workflows, unify data and optimize operations resulting in superior customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient Appian solutions.
  • Design and develop Appian applications, including process models, data models, user interfaces, and integration with external systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to Appian best practices and standards, promoting code quality, performance optimization, and security.
  • Perform code reviews, test case reviews, deployment reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality standards in Appian application development.
  • Provide mentoring to other developers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, quality assurance engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Appian releases, features, and industry trends, and evaluate their applicability to improve existing solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working for US companies in the US is a must have.
  • 10+ years of experience working with Appian.
  • 4+ years as a senior designer / developer and involvement in 4+ end-to-end Appian BPM implementation projects (Design / Develop / Deploy / Package).
  • Recent hands-on design and development experience on Appian (17x / 18x / 19x) BPM applications.
  • 4+ years of experience writing SAIL code.
  • Experience with Appian Objects such as Records, Sites, Actions, Security, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, CDT, Process Models, and related components.
  • Experience working with Appian Tempo.
  • Experience in an Insurance environment is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business-critical applications following Agile methodologies.
  • 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing SOAP and REST Web Services.
  • 4+ years of experience as a senior working with users to gather and refine requirements.
  • Certified Level 2 or Level 3 Appian Developer is a big plus.
  • Java development experience is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to programming – WebSphere, Mule, LAMP / JBOSS, Hadoop, Java, Microsoft / .NET.
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices for elevated Appian application development.
