We are looking to hire an Account Supervisor for our Consumer / Lifestyle team who will be instrumental in taking ownership of accounts and implementing PR strategies across a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate is a dynamic communicator with sharp editorial eye, who can uncover and shape compelling stories across lifestyle, travel, and consumer brands.
We are looking for energetic, proactive, positive candidates with proven media relations skills, excellent established editorial contacts, and strong team management and leadership abilities. Our agency offers a unique environment that fosters individual growth and encourages proactive teamwork.
The Account Supervisor must have at least 7 years of relevant experience in public relations, and a proven track record of strong / established editorial relationships, securing top-tier press placements, building press strategies and messaging, developing creative story angles, and managing a team. You will function as the daily client contact and manage a portfolio of corporate and consumer accounts alongside senior team members.
Requirements

- Manage daily workflow of a minimum of 4-5 accounts while driving consistent media results : report status of accounts to Director and / or SVP on the accounts
- Collaborate closely with internal departments across disciplines to deliver integrated communications strategies that ladder up to clients’ broader brand and business goals
Media Relations
Develop and execute effective press strategies, which support the brands, innovations, and category launches, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelinesHave your finger on the pulse on industry news, identifying new coverage opportunities and story angles throughout the yearMaintain and cultivate relationships with influential members of the media to ensure placementsExecute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plansLead proactive pitching and counsel on PR strategies, guiding teams in the development of targeted outreach and press planningClient Relations
Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectivelyDevelop, review and approve agendas, press releases, pitches, recaps, reports, and other materialsManage client expectations and assist clients in maximizing relationship with BPCMReporting
Reviewing media and reports compiled by junior team members on relevant client news and trendsOverseeing press credit reporting according to client preferenceProficient in MuckRack, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.Writing
Drafting and contributing to press releases and client materials, such as Q&A’s, that encompass brand messaging and positioningOverseeing creation, maintenance and timely distribution of editorial reports, press clippings and budgetary tracking documentsExhibiting strong writing, communication, and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, agency, and colleaguesTeam Management & Development
Provide guidance and leadership / mentorship to junior-level staff on team issues, account workflow and general account managementParticipate in the development of materials for new business opportunities including timelines, proposals, business decks and case studies; assist in generating new business leads.Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic / creative thinking for clientsPassionate about championing inclusive, diverse perspectives in storytellingAbout you :
Must have a minimum of 7 years of PR and / or Marketing experience working in an agency or in- house setting, ideally with lifestyle brandsDegree ideally in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related fieldEstablished editorial relationships across consumer / lifestyle mediaSeasoned writing skillsStrong project and people management skillsProactively function as a friendly gatekeeper, handling confidential and sensitive informationProactive about finding and presenting solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMeticulously organized and detail orientedFlexible in adapting to changing timelines and prioritiesBenefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000.00- $105,000.00. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. Whether a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
