Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment

Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location : Lincoln, Maine (04457) – Maine healthcare jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 29 / 2025 – End : 1 / 28 / 2026)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Shift Schedule : 7a-7p every Saturday and Sunday, with 3rd shift during the week

Shift Length : 8 Hour Days

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,980 - $2,120

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Maine RN license or compact state nursing license

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience

Required immunizations : Varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer or declination), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, PPD (2-step or titer within past 12 months), and flu shot during flu season

BSN preferred

Strong clinical skills : problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective communication

Ability to perform physical tasks : lifting up to 30 lbs, pushing patients in wheelchairs / stretchers, and working with infectious diseases

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Conduct initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments in the emergency room

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and physician orders

Perform nursing interventions to achieve patient goals and communicate care activities to the healthcare team

Document patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and standards

Safely administer medications and evaluate patient responses

Educate patients and families about discharge plans and follow-up care

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding

Support hospital-wide quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Participate in emergency / disaster preparedness planning and drills

Maintain a safe, wellness-focused environment for patients and staff
