Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Seeking a BE / BC Interventional Cardiologist to join our Heart Care Services team and share responsibilities in our Cath Lab. You ll experience a team-oriented work environment with experienced colleagues. Our team currently consists of a cardio-thoracic surgeon, two interventional, one invasive, one non-invasive cardiologist, and one AANP. Our cardiology program is very busy and growing. We have a Level II STEMI program with 24 / 7 STEMI coverage. We perform over 300 interventions per year and the number is increasing. Position is open because one of our interventional cardiologists is relocating.

About the Facility :

Join an accredited regional referral facility, servicing approximately 180,000 population in a nine-county area in south central Missouri and north central Arkansas. Over 100 active physicians are on the medical staff comprised of half primary care and half specialists. A number of services not normally found in rural areas are provided. For example, we have exceptionally strong programs in areas of interventional and non-interventional cardiology, obstetrics, pulmonology, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic and general surgery. Additionally, hospital provides medical and radiation oncology services and has extensive outreach programs.

The Community :

This area is the center of trade for a 50-mile radius. The area's educational opportunities are excellent with public and private schools. Also, the local campus of Missouri State University provides academic and vocational education programs which include a registered and practical nursing program plus a respiratory care school. The area has prospered as a result of its central location for trade-in southern Missouri as well as the growth of its educational and health services.
