Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations across multiple production areas—including Intake, HTST, Cheesemaking, RO, Packaging, and other functional departments—to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality facility performance. This role works closely with production teams on the floor and supports overall plant management.

Key Responsibilities

Hire, train, and supervise production staff; drive continuous improvements in receiving, production, and shipping processes.

Ensure all sanitation tasks, equipment inspections, and teardowns are completed to standard.

Monitor chemical / cleaning supply inventory and maintain required documentation.

Support preparation for plant inspections and ensure readiness for production start-up (materials staging, schedules, staffing).

Assist in managing raw milk receiving operations, including staff scheduling, equipment monitoring, and training.

Collaborate with plant leadership to promote quality, efficiency, and strong customer service.

Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Maintain working knowledge of production equipment and ensure proper operation and safety.

Enforce GMPs, sanitation, quality, and safety standards; identify and correct hazards or deficiencies.

Support resolution of employee concerns and workplace issues.

Complete operational paperwork and assist in other plant areas as required.
