Join our global cybersecurity team in Charleston, South Carolina as a Cybersecurity Tools Operations Specialist. In this role, you'll serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), supporting large-scale deployments and integrating industry-leading tools like Trellix and Burp Suite. You'll play a critical part in maintaining secure environments across multiple locations and ensuring comprehensive vulnerability management and compliance for Department of Defense operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Configure, install, and maintain Tenable Security Center, Nessus Managers, Agents, Scanners, and Network Monitors across multiple environments.
  • Oversee ACAS repositories, providing vulnerability remediation support to internal stakeholders.
  • Administer user access and conduct scan evaluations, generating actionable reports.
  • Integrate and support Trellix and Burp Suite tools for ongoing vulnerability management.
  • Troubleshoot and document issues, ensuring compliance with JFHQ-DODIN TASKORDS and DISA guidance.
  • Participate in global deployments including short-notice travel to support incident response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or five years of equivalent technical experience.
  • At least three years of experience administering ACAS within Department of Defense environments.
  • DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II certification  (Must have ONE of the following certs : CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, CND, SSCP). Must be valid / current.
  • DoD 8140 Auditor certification (required) valid certifications include CISA, GSNA, or Security+.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance (with T5 investigations) or higher is required to start.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% globally, sometimes with only 72 hours’ notice.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills in vulnerability data interpretation and report generation.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, MS Teams, MS OneDrive, and ability to create and edit documents with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with short deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Bonus Points For

  • Expertise in managing enterprise-wide ACAS deployments, especially Tenable and Nessus toolsets.
  • Advanced experience with Trellix troubleshooting and support, including use of Application and Change Control, Rogue System Detection, and ePO Endpoint Deployment Kit.
  • Familiarity with host-based security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint).
  • Proficiency in using Burp Suite for web application security testing and analysis.
