About The Position

Job Title : Radiology Technologist

Profession : Radiologic Technology

Specialty : Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Rotating Schedule

Hours per Shift : 8-12 hours

Experience : 1 year of experience in a hospital preferred

License : Radiography (R) by ARRT is required

Certifications : State Licensure required - MRT by TMBBLS required

Must-Have : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required

Description :

The Radiology Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.

They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.

The technologist will help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.

Flexibility is expected by working other shifts and / or at other campuses as needed.

The technologist must troubleshoot basic maintenance issues.

Participation in QA and resolving issues related to image processing is necessary.

Ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure are expected.

Adherence to and maintenance of the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management is required.

Behavior and communication skills must align with organizational mission, values, and culture.

Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Performs examinations / procedures to assist in patient throughput.

Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses.

Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly.

Follows PACS downtime procedures and escalates problems to the PACS administrator if needed.

Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Performs other duties as assigned.
