Pay Range : $24.00 to $32.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position that is paid by the hour.

Job Summary

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical operations. You will ensure a smooth patient flow while providing exceptional patient care. This position involves working with patients across all age groups, assisting with rooming patients, collecting vitals, and performing point-of-care testing pertinent to allergy and asthma care. Our office promotes a supportive environment with a 2 : 1 CMA to provider ratio, allowing you to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Duties :

• Check in patients, record vital signs and medication history, verify drug allergies, and review symptoms. Conduct preliminary tests based on patient symptoms, entering all data into the EMR system.
• Perform procedures accurately and timely as ordered by the provider.
• Educate patients on medications, care planning, disease processes, and device usage, documenting important take-home information in the EMR.
• Manage inventory of supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained, including sample medications and printed information for patients.
• Prepare exam rooms for subsequent patients.

We are seeking a candidate with the following :

• Current Washington State LPN or CMA license
• Completion of the 7-hour state-mandated AIDS / HIV training program
• CPR / First aid certification for healthcare professionals
• Proof of Washington state insured Medical Assistant certification or registration
• Understanding of EMR / EHR recordkeeping systems; experience with Epic, GE, or similar systems is required.
• Self-motivated with stellar interpersonal skills and empathy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• A genuine enthusiasm for teamwork and acquiring a diverse range of technical skills.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, preferably in asthma / allergy, ENT, pediatric, or dermatology specialty offices.
