Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights, flexible Employment Type : Travel Location : Tulsa, Oklahoma Contract Duration : 13 weeks Start Date : November 24, 2025 Shift : 3x12-Hour Nights (18 : 30 – 07 : 00) The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) at Hillcrest Hospital South provides comprehensive and compassionate care to mothers and newborns through all stages of labor, delivery, and recovery. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and family-centered care for patients in a high-acuity setting averaging 3–5 deliveries per day . Qualifications : Minimum Experience : 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience (travel experience required). Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred), FHM. Technical Skills : IV therapy and phlebotomy Administration of blood products Central line maintenance Use of infusion pumps and fetal monitoring equipment Circulating and scrubbing for C-sections Preferred Experience : High-risk deliveries, VBAC management, and Level I Nursery or LDRP care. Responsibilities : Manage laboring patients, including fetal monitoring, triage, and intrapartum care. Assist and circulate for vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Provide immediate neonatal care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and resuscitation . Administer and monitor medications such as Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Terbutaline, and Prostaglandins . Support postpartum recovery, including fundal assessments, incision care, and breastfeeding support . Handle obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia / eclampsia, and uterine rupture . Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic charting system. Float to postpartum units as required.
