This 528-bed tertiary care hospital features a 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) that serves as a critical care step-down unit providing evidence-based care to patients. The facility receives patients from various departments including the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. The hospital specializes in caring for adult acute care patients requiring more specialized attention than general medical-surgical units can provide, with a focus on pulmonary patients. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
