Status : Full Time
Schedule : 12-Hour Shifts | 7 : 00am - 7 : 00am | Rotating Weekends | Includes Holidays
Reports To : Director of Nursing | RN Supervisor
Position Summary :
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Working closely with the interdisciplinary care team, you will assess patients, carry out treatment plans, and provide vital support to patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. Flexibility and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced, acute care environment.
What You'll Do :
- Deliver care that meets the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of each patient
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
- Perform treatments and administer medications within scope of LPN / LPN-IV certification
- Assist in admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
- Provide clear and compassionate patient and family education
- Accurately document patient care, conditions, and any adverse events
- Respond to emergencies, including initiating resuscitative measures as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Comply with infection control policies and hospital procedures
- Mentor and coach fellow team members when needed
- Participate in continuing education to maintain clinical competencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Required)Current LPN or LPN-IV licensure with the Mississippi Board of Nursing (Required)BLS certification (Required)ACLS and PALS (Preferred)At least 1 year of LPN experience (Required)Experience in charting and documentation systems (Preferred)What Makes You a Great Fit :
